The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers on the community.

SASSA will be rendering expert services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it is alarmed in regards to the large number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some superior variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The provider issue developed for intervention ordeals a higher influx of opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it hard with the office to attend to all people who pay sassa status check a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra resources to permit the servicing of all shoppers and increase entry to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
